Round 1 Borya Gusev connects with a series of punches forcing Mitsuru into a clinch. Kikugawa receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Borya Gusev. Borya Gusev attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with "King of Chaos" standing over him. Kikugawa attempts to drop a fist on Gusev, but misses and lands in his guard. Kikugawa tries to pass guard but Borya stops him with a well timed punch. Borya Gusev begins to work the rubber guard. Borya Gusev begins to work the rubber guard. Gusev attempts an omoplata and almost has it sunk but Mitsuru Kikugawa is able to survive any major damage. Gusev cannot finish the hold and decides to stand up. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Gusev narrowly dodges a cross from "King of Chaos", but falls catching him in his guard. Borya is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Mitsuru. Mitsuru Kikugawa tries to pick up Gusev for a powerbomb, but Gusev releases his guard and ends up in stand up. Gusev lands a quick elbow, cross that floors Mitsuru Kikugawa. Borya throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Mitsuru puts Borya on the mat giving his back up. Gusev carefully protects himself from Kikugawas strikes. Borya Gusev eats a few stiff shots from Kikugawa, and rolls giving mount to stop the ref from ending the fight. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Gusev takes Kikugawas back standing. Gusev lands a couple of uppercuts from behind. Kikugawa is able to work his way back around. Mitsuru takes Gusevs back standing. Gusev isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Mitsuru lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Gusev to release. Both fighters begin to exchange Kikugawa catches Borya with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Borya gather himself. Borya says he is ok and the fight continues. A wild hook from Mitsuru Kikugawa is ducked by Borya who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. The fighters circle each other. Borya Gusev takes Kikugawa down to the mat with a good double leg takedown, leading to him standing over Kikugawa. Borya Gusev drops a huge strike to Kikugawas chin, landing into his guard. Round 3 is finished.
