Round 1 Hideo attempts a lazy shot, which Murphy sprawls, eventually taking Hideo back. Alex is working a furious pace on Sugai, intermingling strikes with positional dominance at will. Sugai starts to wiggle out of back control, Alex lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Murphy locks around the waist of Hideo. He sneaks his foot behind Sugais and trips him to the floor, taking side control. Alex slides his knee across the body of Sugai and takes full mount. "Majin" secures his position. Murphy maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Round 1 comes to a close.

"Majin" lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Sugai gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Hideo carefully protects himself from Murphys strikes. Hideo Sugai starts to wiggle out of back control, "Majin" lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
