Round 1 As Mario Vasquez presses forward Molina throws a wild spinning backfist that hits Mario Vasquez flush. Juan feints and follows up with a hard crossto the head of Vasquez. Mario attempts to clinch, but Molina connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Juan clinches with Vasquez and lands multiple piston shots and short uppercuts to soften up Vasquez for a trip takedown, landing Juan is half guard. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. An attempt at a clinch takedown from Mario Vasquez is defended well by "La Tormenta". Mario Vasquez grabs an overhook, steps to the side to land two haymaker body shots, then an uppercut. Mario Vasquez returns to the clinch. Mario escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Juan hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. "La Tormenta" is cut open by a standing elbow strike. The ref stops the fight. The doctor take a look at the cut and determines "La Tormenta" can continue. Mario throws a teep backing "La Tormenta" off. A lazy leg kick from Juan Molina is caught by Vasquez who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Juan Molina. Mario Vasquez stands over Juan, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Juan is able to grab an arm and pull Mario Vasquez into his guard. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Molinas limp is apparent as Mario Vasquez lands multiple outside leg kicks. Vasquez gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Mario carefully protects himself from "La Tormentas" strikes. Mario Vasquez slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Juan parries a jab but is hit with a powerful knee to the midsection. Vasquez lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Juan. Mario lands a outside leg kick that causes Juan to back up. Round 3 is over.
