Round 1 Sergio circles "El Diablo", landing jabs at will. Sergio connects with numerous jabs to the face of Fontana. Guto Fontana fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Sergio. Sergio Rios takes the back of "El Diablo" who works for a kimura. Sergio Rios pulls his arm out of the hold and push "El Diablo" away. A powerful elbow has Fontana stepping back dazed. Round 2 Guto Fontana circles Sergio Rios, landing jabs and crosses at will. "El Diablo" locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of Rios. Sergio drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Rios backs out of the guard, and chooses to stand with his opponent, allowing him to his feet. Rios attempts a striking combination, but Guto forces the clinch. "El Diablo" grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that puts Sergio on the floor. Round 3 Guto hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Sergio throws a few jabs at Guto that miss the mark. Rios connects with a series of punches forcing Guto into a clinch. Guto Fontana grabs the plum and pulls Sergios face towards a powerful knee which is blocked. Guto Fontana releases the hold and lands an uppercut. "El Diablo" is hit with a jab then hook to the body and stumbles backward. Rios explodes forward with a push kick that puts "El Diablo" on the canvas. Rios stands over "El Diablo", works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. "El Diablo" is able to grab an arm and pull Rios into his guard. Sergio Rios lands an intense elbow that has "El Diablo" rocked. Sergio Rios lands an outside strike as he moves into side mount.
