.... for the last couple years of his career he fought in some of the better promotions and consistently got outmatched by more talented fighters from long established camps. This didn't stop him from trying his hardest and having a 3 fight win streak right before the final defeat that led to his decision to retire. Rodri retired of his own accord on June 29, 2010 at the age of 35.

Rodri Vega is a former professional mixed martial artist and one of the original five Team Foot to Face fighters. He specialized in submission fighting throughout his entire career, but was also good at using his speed for quick standup fighting. He had mixed results for the beginning portion of his career, but was consistently one of the teams better fighters, as well as a leader and Jiu-Jitsu coach. He had a successful resurgence mid career, before a rough patch towards the end....
