If he doesn't make the weight twice, then he will need to stay at 170. But always try to cut as much as possible.

Try fighting this gut at 155. If you want to use PL, get his Sambo and Strength up. I would work on his power, Footwork, and Speed and go 8 points. But put him at 155.
