Bellandini, known for the knockout prowess in his right hand, was given the name of Damarchus upon receiving his first title. Damarchus was renowned as an Olympian boxer from Arcadia. To make him more fierce, he shapeshifted into a wolf at the Festival of Lycaea by Zeus after he feasted on the entrails of a human sacrifice. Historians and philosphers including Plato, Augustine, Pliny, and Pausanias agree that Damarchus certainly existed, but disagree on the finer points of his mythology.
