i'd imagine a little more complicated than we would think... think about how many variables there are in each exchange. I've seen plenty of fights as wins for other guys that ended up losing by SD... taking Hamill v Bisping, Rodriguez v Nogueira, and plenty of others for example.

the pbp read in your favor... but the pbp isn't what determines the outcome. The outcome is predetermined, and the pbp is filler to read for entertainment. It sucks, but it was determined to be a Split Decision in his favor, and then the program spit out a pbp for you to read.
