Round 1 Padilla connects with numerous jabs to the face of Powell. Padilla connects with a hard punch making Powell bring him in to a tight clinch. Vico takes the back of Powell who works for a kimura. Vico pulls his arm out of the hold and push Powell away. James connects with a jab cross combination. Vico Padilla connects with a series of punches forcing James into a clinch. Vico drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Powell attempts a kimura from the bottom. Vico Padilla blocks the attempt and smothers Powell to force him to let go of Vico Padillas arm. Powell is caught in a can opener and opens his guard. He lands two quick strikes but "El Ladron" transitions to half guard. Vico Padilla presses his foot onto the thigh of James Powell to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Padilla wraps the arm of James Powell behind his back and traps it. Padilla pounds away with shots to the face. James takes a few knees to the body while under Vico Padillas side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Vico Padilla executes a beautiful double leg takedown, putting James Powell to the mat, and Vico Padilla into side control. Vico slides his knee across the body of James Powell and takes full mount. James attempts to buck "El Ladron" off from mount but "El Ladron" keeps his base and maintains position. Powell gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Vico slides to the side and spanks the butt of Powell in a sign of disrespect. The crowd laughs uncontrollably. Padilla lands a double punch to the head of Powell. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 "King Cantona" hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Powell fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Vico. Vico attempts to grab the plum but is tripped to the floor by Powell who lands in his guard. Vico Padilla attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. "King Cantona" narrowly dodges a cross from "El Ladron", but falls catching him in his guard. Powell connects with several chop shots from the bottom. James shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Padilla frees a leg and moves into half guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
