Round 1 Fried takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Hall fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with "Zach de la Rocha". Hall drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Heinz sets a guillotine choke but Hall slips out at the last moment. Hall is now caught in guard. "Black Panther" tries to pick up Heinz for a powerbomb, but Heinz releases his guard and ends up in stand up. Heinz lands a quick elbow, cross that floors "Black Panther". A sloppy scooping ankle block is pulled of by Heinz Fried. "Black Panther" is able to pull him into his guard. Hall connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. "Zach de la Rocha" drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Heinz Fried attempts a huge overhand right but Fred Hall bucks back and switches Heinz Fried into mount. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Fried eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Hall. The fighters circle each other. Fred connects with a series of punches forcing "Zach de la Rocha" into a clinch. "Zach de la Rocha" attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Fred pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Hall sends "Zach de la Rocha" to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Hall takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Heinzs guard. It doesn't pay off as Fried makes his way to standing. "Black Panther" narrowly dodges a cross from Fried, but falls catching him in his guard. "Black Panther" sets in an omaplata, forcing Heinz Fried to roll through, giving "Black Panther" side control. Hall attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from "Zach de la Rocha" for his troubles. Fred Hall lands a few stiff elbows from side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Heinz connects with a series of punches forcing Fred Hall into a clinch. "Zach de la Rocha" works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Heinz dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Fred Hall standing over him. Hall attempts to drop a fist on Heinz Fried, but misses and lands in his guard. Heinz Fried shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. "Zach de la Rocha" goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Fred slips out at the last second. Fred attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Fried slips out of it at the last moment. Heinz attempts an omoplata and almost has it sunk but "Black Panther" is able to survive any major damage. Heinz cannot finish the hold and decides to stand up. The bell signals the end of round 3.
