Round 1 Kuro Morita fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Curro Huerta. Morita works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Curro Huerta drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Kuro Morita sets a guillotine choke but Curro Huerta slips out at the last moment. Curro Huerta is now caught in guard. Morita shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Kuro Morita begins to work the rubber guard. Kuro Morita begins to work the rubber guard. Kuro Morita lands an omoplata but Curro rolls out of it leading both fighters to a stand up. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Morita keeps Curro at a distance with some well timed jabs. Kuro narrowly dodges a cross from Curro Huerta, but falls catching him in his guard. Kuro lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Kuro tries to slide out of guard, but a scramble ensues. Curro ends up mounted by Kuro. Kuro maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Morita secures his position. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Kuro takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. The fighters circle each other. Kuro Morita throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Curro Huerta puts Kuro Morita on the mat giving his back up. Curro peppers Kuro with several shots to the face. Kuro Morita starts to wiggle out of back control, Huerta lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Curro Huerta snaps back the head of Kuro with a stiff jab. Kuro is staggered by a jab to the chin. Round 3 is finished.
