Round 1
Hiroshi Futabatei throws a strike that Evans slips and then uses a Kosoto Gake trip and falls into Hiroshi Futabateis guard. Shannon takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Futabateis guard. It doesn't pay off as Futabatei makes his way to standing. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Futabatei works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Hiroshi Futabatei has double underhooks, locks across the body, and takes Evans down to the mat, landing in great side control. Hiroshi attempts an armbar, but Shannon Evans stops the attempt. Hiroshi uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Round 1 comes to a close.

Round 2
Shannon keeps Futabatei at a distance with some well timed jabs. Evans narrowly dodges a cross from Futabatei, but falls catching him in his guard. Shannon Evans shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Futabatei presses the action while in the guard, but Shannon Evans is able to switch him into mount. Shannon Evans secures his position. Futabatei gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
Futabatei connects with a series of punches forcing Shannon Evans into a clinch. Shannon Evans throws a solid knee to the jaw of Futabatei. Futabatei takes the back of Evans in the clinch, only for Evans to hit a rolling kneebar. Futabatei taps out.
