Round 1 A trip to the ground allows Sultan to move into the guard of Nejem. Hossien Sultan keeps his head down in the chest of Naif Nejem to avoid any submission attempts. Hossien Sultan leans up and lands some short punches before lowering back down. Hossien takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Naifs guard. It doesn\'t pay off as Naif makes his way to standing. Hossien dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Sultan circles Nejem, landing jabs at will. Nejem takes a punch and goes to the mat, Sultan pounces into side control. Nejem recovers quickly. Hossien attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Naif for his troubles. Naif tries to get back to full guard, but has to settle with half guard. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Naif Nejem stuffs a shot from Hossien Sultan and hits him with an outside body shot. Hossien Sultan gives up on the takedown and pulls guard. Naif Nejem takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Hossiens guard. It doesn\'t pay off as Sultan makes his way to standing. Both fighters begin to exchange Naif Nejem catches Hossien with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Hossien gather himself. Hossien says he is ok and the fight continues. Naif Nejem connects with a series of punches forcing Sultan into a clinch. A strong elbow forces Sultan to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Naif Nejem lays into Hossiens thighs with some well timed kicks while Sultan is grounded. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Naif Nejem fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Hossien Sultan to the cage. Hossien Sultan swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. While in his opponents guard Naif Nejem powers himself and Hossien up in the air and slams him down to the canvas. Naif takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Hossien Sultans guard. It doesn\'t pay off as Sultan makes his way to standing. A welt begins to form under Nejems eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Hossien Sultan. The fighters circle each other. Hossien Sultan attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Naif takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Naif throws his knee into the ribs of Hossien. Hossien Sultan gives his back in an attempt to get out of side control. As Nejem spins around to take it, Hossien Sultan makes his way back to his feet.Round 3 comes to a close.
