Round 1 "Silva" hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Malgas Dubandlela. Wandile Mashinini winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Malgas circles Wandile, landing jabs at will. Malgas Dubandlela connects with a strong right hook. Malgas tries to hyperextend the knee of Mashinini with a kick to the kneecap. Mashinini hops back to avoid it. Dubandlela connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of "Silva". The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Malgas winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Wandile is hit with a jab-cross and then brutally shoved to the ground. Malgas falls into his guard, delivering a strong punch as he does so. While in his opponents guard Malgas Dubandlela powers himself and Mashinini up in the air and slams him down to the canvas. Wandile Mashinini is caught in a can opener and opens his guard. He lands two quick strikes but Malgas transitions to half guard. Malgas is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Mashinini gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Wandile Mashinini starts to wiggle out of back control, Malgas lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Mashinini takes a punch to the jaw. He drops his hands and asks Malgas to hit him harder. "Silva" is met with a hook cross combo that staggers him. Malgas Dubandlela explodes with a flurry of punches. "Silva" is then thrown to the floor. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Wandile fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Malgas. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Wandile takes Malgass back standing. Malgas isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Wandile lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Malgas to release. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Malgas Dubandlela takes a punch to the jaw. He drops his hands and asks Mashinini to hit him harder. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Malgas Dubandlela presses forward and grazes Wandile Mashinini with a combo. Wandile Mashinini wants none of the stand up and clinches with Malgas Dubandlela to then savagely throw him down to the ground. "Silva" lays into Malgas Dubandlelas thighs with some well timed kicks while Malgas is grounded. Round 3 is finished.
