Round 1 "jericho" pummels Joriedson with a series of rapid fire fists. Joriedson Gruber dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Austin connects with a strong body shot combo. Smith eats a strong cross as Joriedson moves into the clinch. Joriedson Gruber lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Austin Smith works to Joriedsons back while standing. Austin Smith throws a couple of outside shots until Joriedson is able to work his way back to the clinch. Austin Smith has double underhooks, locks across the body, and takes Gruber down to the mat, landing in great side control. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 A trip to the ground allows "jericho" to move into the guard of Joriedson Gruber. "jericho" keeps his head down in the chest of Joriedson to avoid any submission attempts. "jericho" leans up and lands some short punches before lowering back down. Austin drops a few strong punches, opening up Grubers guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Joriedson gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Joriedson carefully protects himself from Austin Smiths strikes. Gruber starts to wiggle out of back control, Austin Smith lets him escape putting them both on their feet. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Austin Smith works Joriedson Gruber into the cage from the clinch. Austin Smith presses his head under Joriedson Grubers chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Smith fakes a shot attempt from the clinch, opening Joriedson up for a flurry of hooks. "jericho" catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Gruber. Smith drops a powerful fist onto Joriedson Gruber. Grubers eyes roll back into his head, and this fight is over.
