Round 1
Denny eats a strong cross as Lance moves into the clinch. As both fighters jockey in the clinch Lance turns and reaches his arm across the waist of Lapointe grabbing the back of his thigh while grabbing behind the opposite leg with his other hand. Lance dumps Lapointe backwards over his own leg with a Sukui Nage. Lance drops to side control. "Throwdown" attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Denny Lapointe for his troubles. Denny Lapointe sneaks a leg back under the body of "Throwdown" to achieve a defensive half guard. Lapointe defends short shots well by turning his head. Lance attempts to get a leg free and quickly moves into mount position. Denny gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Cherry works his arm around the neck of Lapointe attempting to get a tight rear naked choke but Lapointe hand fights well. Denny Lapointe slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. The round comes to an end.

Round 2
Both fighters begin to exchange Cherry catches Denny Lapointe with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Denny Lapointe gather himself. Denny Lapointe says he is ok and the fight continues. "Throwdown" connects with a hard punch making Denny bring him in to a tight clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Lance gets a trip takedown from clinch and end up in the half guard of Denny Lapointe. Lance Cherry tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Denny Lapointe defends short shots well by turning his head. Cherry attempts to get a leg free and successfully moves into dominant side control. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
"Throwdown" connects with a strong body shot combo. Lance Cherry connects with numerous jabs to the face of Denny. Lance throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Denny is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Denny dodges a jab and clinches with Cherry, delivering a knee as he does so. Lance connects with jab cross combination. "Throwdown" cuts off the cage to attack and goes desperately for a takedown. Lapointe catches him a guillotine with his legs tightly wrapped. "Throwdown" has to tap. This one is all over.
