Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Dunn throws a short elbow at Day. Vince attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Tank pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. A looping right hook from Tank sends Day to the mat. Tank stands over Vince Day, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Vince Day is able to grab an arm and pull Tank into his guard. Tank Dunn takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Vinces guard. It doesn't pay off as Vince makes his way to standing. Day is hit with a jab and then taken down by a beautiful single-leg takedown. Day tries for a kimura from the bottom. Tank Dunn uses his free hand to connect with several punches and Day is forced to give up on the kimura. Day and Dunn trade punches to the face. Dunn lands a overhand and an elbow that stuns Day. Dunn moves to side control. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Day snaps back the head of Tank Dunn with a stiff jab. Vince Day slips a cross from Dunn and lands jab cross to the body. Dunn throws a hard jab but Day throws a cross right over the top that knocks Dunn to the ground. Vince kicks at the legs of Dunn and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Dunn to stand. Tank parries a jab but leaves himself open for a uppercut that sends him to the canvas. Day stands over Tank Dunn, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Tank Dunn cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Day kicks at the legs of Tank Dunn and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Tank Dunn to stand. A welt begins to form under Tank Dunns eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Day. Tank Dunn connects with a hard punch making Day bring him in to a tight clinch. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Vince attempts a jab but is countered by a hard right leg kick to the knee and is instantly followed by an upward elbow strike that rocks him. Tank Dunn locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of Vince. Dunn connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Day is dazed on the mat. Dunn kicks at the legs of Day and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Day to stand. Day parries a jab but is hit with a powerful knee to the midsection. Tank Dunn connects with a hard punch making Vince bring him in to a tight clinch. Day receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Tank Dunn. Vince has double underhooks, locks across the body, and takes Tank Dunn down to the mat, landing in great side control.Round 3 comes to a close.
