Round 1 Price dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Ward is caught with a double leg takedown, forcing him to give side control. Round 2 Fred is staggered by a jab to the chin. Ward connects with a jab cross combination. A wild hook from Fred Ward is ducked by Roy Price who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Roy ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Fred Ward to the mat, and his back. Ward tries to explode out the backdoor but Roy sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Ward attempts to buck Roy Price off from mount but Roy Price keeps his base and maintains position. Fred bucks off Roy and sweeps him over taking side control. Round 3 comes to a close.
