Round 1
"G Squared" connects with a series of punches forcing Flores into a clinch. Gilbert Green throws a solid knee to the jaw of "The Great HW Hope". "G Squared" attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with Jose standing over him. "The Great HW Hope" attempts to drop a fist on Green, but misses and lands in his guard. Gilbert connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Flores tries to pass guard but "G Squared" stops him with a well timed punch. Gilbert Green begins to work the rubber guard. Gilbert attempts an omoplata and almost has it sunk but Jose Flores is able to survive any major damage. Gilbert cannot finish the hold and decides to stand up. The round comes to an end.

Round 2
Flores is staggered by a jab to the chin. Gilbert narrowly dodges a cross from "The Great HW Hope", but falls catching him in his guard. Gilbert begins to work the rubber guard. "G Squared" sinks a kimura, but cannot finish. He settles for a switch into mount. Jose attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Flores gives his back up trying to escape the mount. The bell signals the end of round 2.

Round 3
"The Great HW Hope" is hit with a jab and then taken down with a strong trip takedown. Jose shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. "G Squared" takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Jose Floress guard. It doesn't pay off as "The Great HW Hope" makes his way to standing. Gilbert lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. The fighters circle each other. Jose attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Green takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Green attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Jose for his troubles. Gilbert slides his knee across the body of Jose Flores and takes full mount. Round 3 is over.
